never forgotten

I could not get this out of my mind for the longest time. Everytime when I see the A4 paper box and bags and bags of heavy files and books in my mind's picture. The memory of standing along the noisy road of the valley entrance. That very day was my last stay in that office, tearing while packing and walking out of that tiny office. Tearing while typing my hand-over email...

What was unforgettable? A friend who willingly offered to pick me and send me home quickly to leave the past behind. I could not forget that... Everytime when I scale the fort, when i bus to the hill and when i think of the next time I leave for another job somewhere... A friend willing to walk the last moment of the last bit of the past. Watching the transition of the past and future. Anticipating for the better door next after exiting that gate.

Till today, I am still very grateful for that friend who did that small gesture. A hand stretched forth to walk me through that weakest and most vulnerable moment in time. I am really grateful. Thankful.

"Scale the fort and leave all your sorrows at the valley."
